This website is devoted exclusively to my pin-up art. I've always had an interest in pulp magazine art and in classic pin-up art. Especially the work of Earle Bergey, whose work I saw as a teenager in books about the early days of the science fiction pulps. But I never really tried to create any pin-ups until two years ago when my employer wanted to do posters with bikini girls. These posters are not retro in style, but they still follow in the tradition of the classic pin-ups. This has renewed my interest in the art form and led me to create this site as a place for this area of my artwork. The design of this site is intended to capture the flavor of the old pin-up pulp magazines.

It is seperate from my other online portfolios because I have found a lot of negative attitudes toward this type of work. While I don't believe these attitudes to be intelligent, I don't want my other work to fail to receive the attention it deserves as legitimate work due to this art being mixed in with it. I hope someday people can grow beyond their fear of beauty and sensuality. The pin-up is nothing more than a simple expression of this side of our humanity.

There may not be much work here at this time, but I intend to expand it with new work, both painted and photographed, soon. Stop back to see from time to time, or use the contact form to send me a message if you have a question, request or comment.
